There does seem to be some variations – where I came from in the North of England it included banana, it is one of the main reasons I adore it so much. It also adds an almost heatlhy twist

Oh My God this brings back sooooooooooooooooo many happy memories of childhood school lunch time…I still love this tart now, but dont remember the banana…but still sounds delicious
