A close friend of mine has recently become engaged and, as per usual, it has fallen to me to do the menu planning. At the moment I am contemplating the sort of things one can serve for a spring engagement party. I am leaning to towards something a little different because their party is expected to be a little, how can I say, off the wall perhaps? Personally I would like to keep the food to simple yet hearty food because I have a feeling the guests may well be drinking plenty of champagne (and they will need something to absorb the booze!) and it will probably still be a little chilly in London!
Anyway with the couple planning to grace their guests with furniture from a company specialising in modern and funky chair hire in London I feel I need to match their funky theme with worthy dishes. So, as I am currently drawing a blank, I am once again turning my attention to the web for ideas and, most especially you, my dear readers. Any menu ideas to make this party go off with a classy bang?
So far I have come up with some really inspired appetisers…
- Edamame Dumplings
- Scallion Pancakes
- Beef and Asparagus Negimaki
- Tuna Nicoise Crostini with Iman
- Dolmades
Should I make any of these I will of course share the recipes in due course. Stay tuned for further updates!
