The New Year Diet…

I cannot believe it is that time of year again – the season to be jolly and eat lots. Don´t get me wrong all of this is highly enjoyable. Its the bit which follows the festivities of Christmas and the New Year – the month I like to refer to as the annual month of dieting pain – January. You can be pretty sure no matter how good I think I´ve been – no matter how much exercise I did over the festive period somehow those few choccies and other christmas goodies have all sunk to my bottom.

In the name of research I have been doing a little investigation into the various solutions for making the diet a little easier, and I´ve been pleasantly surprised. Lets face it not all of us have the time or inclination to cook fresh healthy food from scratch. There are a number of services online who cater exclusively for helping people diet – those who help you plan your diets with meal plans, exercise charts and targets – and, rather unusually, those who deliver the meals to your door. The latter I have never tried although many of my friends and family have with a great deal of success.

This year I am being extra careful. The goodies are being rationed and, on those days when perhaps my calorie consumption has been enough to fuel several people round a full marathon, I have upped the exercise a little more and cut back elsewhere. But, come January, I know I will have a few extra pounds I need to shed.  I know, having listened to friends and family I am not the only one who faces the January cutbacks, so I am wondering how many of you have already decided their new years resolution will, yet again, feature the word diet

Whats your plan for shedding a few pounds this January?
