Review: Personalised Bags from DoodleBag

If there is one thing which displeases me about modern society is our tendency towards a “throwaway culture”. Green issues have always been close to my heart and I do my utmost to ensure I do my part – as we all can and should do. You would be surprised how even the smallest thing can help such as, for example, using re-usable cotton bags for your shopping rather than the plastic bags provided at the checkout. A great retailer of these items is Bag it Don´t Bin it who provide a great range of reusable bags for corporate organisations and businesses and their sister company Doodle Bag which allows you to design and customize bags and clothing like aprons, tshirts, baby hats etc.

Doodle Bag offers a great range of pre-designed bags with something, I am sure which will appeal to anyone. With prices in the range of £11.99 for a quality canvas bag with design or from £4.99 for the plain bags they are certainly affordable. These bags are designed for repetitive use and, in my experience, the length of time they last certainly means they pay for themselves in the long run – factoring in the amount of plastic bags you would use in their stead and, of course, their resultant environmental impact.

The bags are comprised of 4oz Natural Canvas, made from 100% Natural Cotton, which is from sustainable cops in registered fair trade factories. They are printed at their award winning eco-print factory in Yorkshire, England.

These are high quality bags built to last and come with long webbing handles which means they make your shopping much easier to handle! No chance of a messy pavement owing to bursting bags or snapping handles here.

I purchased a bag for the purpose of writing this review and was so delighted with it I intend to purchase a few more for my regular shopping trips. They are perfect for everyday use as well – especially the ones with the snazzy designs! If you fancy yourself a designer, like myself, then you will definitely want to check out the option to sell your own designs through them. Its not open to everyone and they will review your work but it has great potential for earning a little pocket money from your designs.

If you are looking towards doing your little bit for the environment then I urge you to check out design your own bags Doodle Bags and, if you are a corporation/business looking for customisable branded canvas bags, then do check out Bag it Don´t bin it.
