Wiki Project: My City Cuisine

I was recently forwarded information regarded an interesting wiki project online called “My City Cuisine. The project’s goal is to help travelers discover local foods from all over the world. Food is an integral part of the local culture so naturally tasting local food is high on most traveler’s to-do list. However until now there has been no single comprehensive source for this information. The MyCityCuisine project aims to fill this void. If you’d like to learn more about the project, please take a look at their site.

The main reason I am highlighting this site is because, owing to the site still be in its infancy, they are on the lookout for contributors.Ā  This seems like a wonderful opportunity to share your local knowledge of cuisine whilst helping visitors to your area (as well as people on the lookout for information on world cuisine!).

Contributing is easy: It works exactly the way wikipedia work by virtue of the fact anyone can submit information to the site and edit information already in place. You can add new dishes or descriptions.

Personally I firmly believe this is a marvellous project and could be a really handy site for finding information on cuisine from around the world. I plan on contributing myself in the future based on my knowledge of British and Spanish cuisine. Have anything to offer – visit them today to find out more.
